One year ago; (from last Sunday) on July, 31st 2010 Aaron and I were married in the quaint town of Red Wing, MN surrounded by friends and family. I would have made this post on the actual anniversary, but we were too busy celebrating in the Pacific Northwest. (Pictures to come)
Once again, thank you for those of you who joined us, the amazing gifts, and all the help we received in making our day so special. <3
I designed our ceremony program, which of course had to have a cactus in the design. I was bringing a little bit or Arizona over to Minnesota. A program was placed upon each chair at the ceremony and doubled as a fan.
The ceremony and the reception took place at the charming Round Barn Farm B&B, of Red Wing. I tried to keep my dress simple to stay with the simple elegance of the whole venue. And yes, my shoes have wings on them.
This wedding really turned into huge craft project for me. I handcrafted my bouquet out of broaches, rings, and earrings.
Here we are getting ready with the help of our groomsman and bridesmaids, filled with excitement and anticipation.
Aaron’s twin sister Amber, who’s as equally as crafty, made all of the wonderful floral arrangements for the whole wedding party.
At the ceremony. We laughed, we cried, but best of all, we got MARRIED!
WOO HOO! Just showing off the bling. ;)
After the ceremony our guest had time to sip on some country time lemonade, take a picture in our makeshift photo booth, or play a game of croquet.
Hey, it’s dinner time!
Since we didn’t really do anything very traditional at our wedding, we didn’t have a regular cake. Instead we opted for a “Sweet Treats” table, with cookies, apple pie, and cupcakes.
Me crying again during Derek’s, Aaron’s best man and Brother; and Courtney’s, my bff since high school, wedding toasts.
Posing with some of the decor. XOXO
